MISS YOU LOADS
I LOST MY MOTHER DUE TO ALCOHOL PROBLEMS WHICH DUE TO THE DRINK MY MOTHERS HEART JUST GAVE UP.I WAS TOTALLY DEVESTATED.MY FATHER WAS ALSO A DRINKER AS WELL AS A NUMBER OF FAMILY MEMBERS.I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHY PEOPLE CONTINUE TO ABUSE THEIR OWN LIFE TO ALCOHOL KNOWING LOVED ONES DIED THROUGH THIS PROBLEM.I STOPPED DRINKING WHEN MY MOTHER DIED DUE TO THIS PROBLEM.I ONLY TAKE A DRINK ON OCCASIONS WHICH I DONT GO OVERBORED AS I COULDNT LET IT TAKE OVER MY LIFE THE WAY IT HAS WITH FAMILY MEMBERS GONE AND STILL HERE TODAY.I KNOW THEY SAY ITS AN ILNESS.I WILL ALWAYS SAY THE ALCOHOL KILLED MY MOTHER IN THE END BECAUSE SHE WAS GIVING A BOTTLE OF VODKA AND ABOUT 6 CANS OF STRONG LAGER A DAY BY HER SISTER.THIS WAS A WAY OUT FOR HER SISTER AS SHE DIDNT SIT WITH MY MOTHER AS SHE WAS MENT TO BE LOOKING AFTER MY MOTHER.SO THIS WAS MY MOTHERS COMPANY BEING GIVING THAT AMOUNT OF ALCOHOL DAILY.I HAVE 3 BROTHERS AND A SISTER WHICH AS FAR AS I KNOW THEY ALL NEED A DRINK EVERY NIGHT AS WELL.I NO LONGER KEEP IN CONTACT WITH THEM AS THEY DONT UNDERSTAND HOW MUCH THIS CAN TAKE OVER UR LIFE.I WILL CLOSE BY SAYING GOD BLESS AND R.I.P TO ALL WHO HAVE LOST THERE LIFE TO THIS PROBLEM XXXXXX

Hiya Grandad, i just wanted to say hello and ask that you watch over us at the minute as we are going through hard times. I ask that you keep your eye on andy who is drinking more and more and this is worrying me although he doesnt agree!!! I also want to say a huge well done to my mum christine who beat alcohol three years ago now and has become the mum wife and nana that i always knew she could be xxxxxx
My beautiful daughter Joanna age 24, took her own life on 14 October, this was not her first attempt but each time she tried to kill herself she was drunk. She never did this when she was sober. It's so difficult for people today to control their drinking, they are encouraged by 2 for 1 offers, happy hours, free shots - you name it. Jo couldn't understand how some people could drink and be ok and she couldn't. She was a bright, bubbly, generous, loving and caring young woman. Alcohol destroyed my marriage and ultimately, killed my daughter. A counsellor once told me that it was harder to beat alcohol addiction than heroin because alcohol is socially acceptable, part of most peoples' lives so its harder to stay away from it.

my uncle passed away 5 years ago now.
we tried everything to get him to stop drinking but that is what made him happy... he was found dead in his flat alone but he died happy as he had got his bottle of sherry xx
he was a very happy outgoing man and would do anything for anyone he was told by doctors to stop the drinking or he would die but he said 'what will be will be'
and he was right
